Engagement Photos at the DIA and Detroit Library

Amanda and Brett had the most gorgeous engagement photos at the DIA and Detroit Library! Both the Library and the Detroit Institute of Arts make stunning, timeless backdrops for photos. Amanda and Brett are also the sweetest couple in the world, which made taking these photos even more fun for me! The smiles and laughter were infectious. They are so affectionate and loving with one another which makes the candid photos that much more amazing!

Hands down the most popular time of year for photos is Fall. However, I totally prefer a warm summer evening for engagement photos! Fall is beautiful, but timing the colors of the trees with the weather is super stressful. Not only that, more often than not you will be a bit cold during your photo session. Summer evenings are warm (so you can wear that dress you love) and have a much higher chance for nice weather and beautiful sunsets.
